More Than Just Camping

Windsor's oldest active Scout Troop was recently on the Niagara Escarpment...check out our pictures!

==================================================================================================

Friday night @ Camp Nemo,

we received our final training.

Saturday morning...

"On Reppel" met us at the edge of the Escarpment.

It's a long way down !

I'm almost there...

By submitting this picture

to "Boots on the Bruce"

we helped to fund the

cost of maintaining the trail.

Once we were over the edge

it was not as scary as you

might think.

Now that I am here,

where do I go next?

This is so awesome!

All together,

we took over 650 pictures.

Our 3 1/2 hour hike on the

Bruce was long, but fun!

These are just a few of the adventures, and activities you'll tackle in Scouting.
You'll enjoy outdoor adventures as part of a team.
Working together with other young people to accomplish thrilling challenges.
Scouting gives every member a chance to be a leader.
It might involve running an activity, organizing a camp, or participating
with other young people across your province or Canada in a youth forum.
Scouts meet in a group called a "Troop".
The Troop is then split into smaller groups called "Patrols".
There is one leader for every six Scouts,
to help guide their personal development.

What year did scoutings founder pass away; and where is he buried?

 Scouting facts from our past...

Prime Ministers "Jean Chretien, Joe Clark, John Diefenbaker, Stephen Harper, Brian Mulroney,

Pierre Trudeau" have all been involved in scouting.

The Canadian flag was designed by "George Stanley" and it was first flown in "1965".

The current "Governor General Michaelle Jean"; is the honourary Chief Scout of Canada.

"Scouting began August 1st, 1907 on Brown-sea Island".
